Itinerary of Tamang Heritage Trail Trek: Cultural Visit
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, Our representative will be there for you to pick-up and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to rest or explore the city.

Day 02: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation in Kathmandu
Spend the day visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu, such as Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. At evening, meet with your guides – confirm your gears and prepare for the upcoming trek.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

Day 04: Trek from Syabrubesi to Gatlang

Day 05: Trek from Gatlang to Tatopani
Taking gradual ascent through forests and terraced fields – crossing suspension bridges to soak tired muscles in Tatopani. “Tatopani” translates to “hot water” in Nepali, and you can relax in the natural hot springs here while enjoying the stunning mountain scenery.

Day 06: Trek from Tatopani to Thuman

Day 08: Trek from Briddim to Syabrubesi

What is included?
- Permits and Fees: All necessary permits for the Tamang Heritage trek, including the Langtang National Park entry permit and the TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System) card.
- Accommodation: Accommodation throughout the trek in teahouses or lodges, as well as accommodation in Kathmandu before and after the trek in 3-star hotel on BB plan. (twin sharing basis)
- Meals: Most trek packages will include three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and also includes three times hot beverage in breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Transportation: Ground transportation from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi and back, which is the usual start and end point of the trek.
- Guide: You are provided with a guide who speaks English and is experienced in trekking. This includes their salary, insurance, equipment, food, and accommodation. For a single trekker, a guide himself will carry up to 10 kg from their weight.
- First Aid Kit: A basic first aid kit.
- Trekking Map: A map of the trekking route.

- International Flights: International airfare to and from Nepal is not included.
- Travel Insurance: Travel insurance that covers emergency rescue and evacuation is not included and you’ll be expected to have your own.
- Personal Expenses: Expenses for extra meals, drinks, snacks, charging devices, hot showers, Wi-Fi, and other personal costs are not included.
- Nepal Visa Fees: Entry visa fees for Nepal.
- Additional Accommodation and Meals: If you choose to extend your stay in Nepal, the cost of additional accommodation and meals will not be included.
- Rescue and Evacuation: Any costs related to emergency evacuation or rescues are not covered.
- Trekking Gear: Personal trekking equipment, such as hiking boots, down jackets, trekking poles, and other gear are not included.
- Tips: Tips for guides and porters are not included and are at your discretion.
- Porter service: Porter is not available in package, but it can be arranged on request at an extra cost, where one porter carries up to 25 kg (shared between two trekkers) to reduce your load and make the trek more comfortable.

The standard package uses shared tourist vehicle transportation but those who want more comfortable and flexible travel experience, Epic Trek Nepal provides a private vehicle option. This facility is perfect for couples, family, and a small number of individuals who would like to have a more comfortable and convenient travel experience with flexible departure times and more traveling space. Opting for a private vehicle upgradation option will cost extra money to your package according to the size of the group and destination point.
Private Tourist Vehicle from Syaprubesi to Kathmandu ($120)
After completing your trek, travelers have the option to return from private tourist vehicle. This upgrade offers more comfortable, and time-efficient travel experience, making it ideal for those who prefer convenience after the trek.
Extra Accommodation in Kathmandu Per Night ($40)
Epic Trek Nepal offers free accommodation in Kathmandu during the first 2 days of your arrival date in Kathmandu as part of the cost included package. If you want to extend your stay, pay USD 40 for each extra night. The accommodation is at a 3 Star Hotel with twin sharing bed and breakfast included.

Cancellation Policy for Tamang Heritage Trail Trek
At Epic Trek Nepal, we understand the changes in plan unexpectedly. That is why we designed it to be fair and clear.
Cancellation Notice:
By any reason, if you need to cancel tour trek then please inform us at least 15 days before your scheduled Trek start date.
Administrative Fee:
When you cancel the trek, 25% fee will be reduced from the total cost of trek as administrative charge. This fee covers the planning and organizational cost we’ve already done for your trip.
Non-Refundable Period:
If the cancellation happen less than 7 days before the trek start date, no refund will be provided but by looking at the situation and if we feel the reason of cancelation is valid then the amount will be refunded after deducting 70% of total trek amount. In such time we have already submitted the cost and reserved the spots for you.
Documentation Support:
We know insurance claim can be important. In-case if you cancel, we would gladly provide the necessary document such as receipts to help with your insurance process.
Unused Accommodation:
Please note that if your trek is cancel due to personal reasons, illness or bad weather, refunds for unused accommodation are not available.
