However, the greater difficulty is by road. Most of the Nepal Highlights Tour journeys take between five to eight hours, and the roads in Nepal may be rocky and curved. Permit and Entry Fees
Trekking permits do not apply here since this is a typical tourist itinerary. For Nepal Highlights Tour only entry fees are needed which is paid separately only for site visits and entrance into the national park.
Let us begin with Kathmandu. Entrance fee into all four UNESCO sites in Kathmandu – Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath – is included in your tour cost, and your guide purchases all the tickets in advance. This saves you from standing in queues on your first day of visiting Nepal.
A similar convenience applies in Chitwan National Park. Your guide pays the entrance fee to the park on arrival, meaning you enter straight away without waiting to pay at the counter.
Within the boundaries of the park itself, most of the organized activities are already covered. The jeep safari, boat ride, birdwatching walk, village visit, and cultural performance take place according to the standard itinerary, and the cost includes these services.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is highly advised for Nepal Highlights Tour packages. Travel insurance is not offered as part of the package from Epic Trek Nepal, so sort it out before the tour.
The most critical coverage option is always health insurance. In even relatively safe tours, health issues can occur due to illness, injury from slipping while walking up steps at temples, or other unforeseen situations. The good insurance will pay for your treatment and should definitely include emergency evacuation and hospitalization in Kathmandu.
There are many situations where plans can change. Flight cancellations, last-minute illnesses, and urgent personal issues all happen. Purchase a plan that includes trip cancellation and interruption protection, allowing refunds for unused payments.
There are also delays and lost luggage in Nepal. Bad weather may delay the domestic flight, while landslides may slow down travel on roads during monsoon. Look for an insurance that would cover you in case of delay or loss of luggage, delayed flights and missed connections.
Do not forget to read all the details before you purchase your policy. You should check whether the destination and activities you will be taking part in, such as white-water rafting, are covered by the policy. Save the copy of the policy and give your guide the emergency number.
A little bit of pre-planning will allow you to have the 10 Days Nepal Tour carefree.
