The path will gradually lead you upwards, and there will be an increase in altitude by about 900 meters, form the base to the monastery. Some parts of the trek are quite steep and will exhaust you, particularly during the first hour of hiking.

You do not require any previous experience in trekking to accomplish this Bhutan Short tour, but a good physical condition is very useful. A regular walker and everyone who feels comfortable with some hours of climbing will have no problem with it. Best Time for Bhutan Short Tour

Time matters a lot when you plan to travel to Bhutan. Each season offers something unique, which you need to be aware of.

Spring (March to May)

Spring is the most beautiful season when the flowers of rhododendrons surround the hill and weather is always mild and nice. Visibility is also great at this time of year, but the tourist crowd is large, and you should plan your Bhutan Short Tour Package ahead of time.

Autumn (September to November)

Autumn is the time when Bhutan offers the best trekking experiences. The skies remain clear, visibility good and the weather warm. It is peak tourism season, so you can see more tourist traffic and high demand for lodging services.

Monsoon (June to August)

Summers bring lots of rainfall in Bhutan with the weather being quite humid and cloudy. Mountain views will be difficult during this period due to poor visibility, but the landscape remains lush with greenery and less number of tourists.

Winter (December to February)

This season comes with low temperatures, particularly during the morning and evening hours. The skies tend to be very clear, allowing excellent visibility of the mountain ranges. This is a time when there are very few people.

Since this is a short tour, spring and autumn becomes excellent option to visit. The weather remains quite stable, and visibility is clear. It’s perfect for sightseeing and even light trekking.

Transportation on the Short Bhutan Tour Itinerary

Traveling in Bhutan becomes very easy and hassle free in this Bhutan Short Tour, as transportation is sorted out beforehand. The first thing that happens is that a private vehicle comes directly to Paro International Airport to pick you up.

On the tour, traveling will be done by a comfortable vehicle that is fit to drive through the mountainous path of Bhutan. As per the group size, the mode of transportation may be either a private car or a van, both having sufficient space and rest time on the road.

The driver that will drive the vehicle will be an experienced and familiar with Bhutan winding hill’s, narrow road, tough areas and unpredictable weather pattern. His experience will be a great advantage in such routes that have a lot of bends.

The roads of Bhutan are well-maintained, but they tend to be narrow and curved in the mountains. It would be best to just admire the scenery along the road, rather than worry about time since driving in Bhutan is a bit time-consuming.

The travel from Paro to Thimphu usually takes about an hour and a half. At the end of the trip, the same road will take you back to Paro Airport to leave Bhutan.

The national Bhutanese dish “Ema Datshi” which is made of chili and cheese is a must try for all travelers.  Your food will include combination of Bhutanese and continental cuisines, which mean you get to try new flavor with something familiar taste.

There will be no problem for vegetarians in Bhutan. Dishes here contain many vegetable-based foods, and almost any restaurant can cook a meal with vegetarian foods. This Bhutan Short Tour Package ensures that the food is simple and tasty.

Bhutan Tour Requirement

Planning ahead is important when visiting Bhutan because the entry conditions are unique compared to those of most countries. Below is what you should consider before starting Bhutan Short Tour.

First, your passport should still be valid six months visa after the date of your departure from Bhutan. It’s also important to have a digital copy of the passport because you will most likely need one when applying for a visa.

A visa is needed to enter Bhutan for foreigners, and this should be sorted out even before traveling to Bhutan. The visa can be obtained via a licensed tour operator in Bhutan. Indian nationals just require a permit while Bangladeshis and Maldivians require visa upon arrival.

Bhutan also require a Sustainable Development Fee, known as the SDF. In 2026, the fee is USD 100 per person per night for most international tourists, and the reduced rate will be applicable until August 2027. Indians pay a different rate in Indian rupees. Those who are below 5 years are not charged, and children between six to eleven pay half the regular charge. There is an additional visa processing fee of USD 40.

But the best thing is that you do not have to worry about any of this because Epic Trek Nepal will take care of everything like permits, visa process, and SDF for you well before you depart.

The currency of the country is the Bhutanese Ngultrum, which is linked to the Indian Rupee. The Indian Rupee is also accepted but you may want to carry some Bhutanese Ngultrum as well for small payments.

Because visa fee, SDF, and entry policies may vary now and then, it is always advisable to confirm with us regarding all these details.

Travel insurance is not required, but we strongly advise you to purchase one because of the mountainous location of Bhutan.

Perfect KTM day tour I had a wonderful experience with Epic trek for my Kathmandu day tour, and our group was genuinely satisfied with the entire service from beginning to end. Everything was very well organized, and the communication before and during the tour was clear and professional. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive, and he explained the history, culture, and significance of each place in a way that made the experience much more interesting and enjoyable. The itinerary was also well planned, so we were able to visit the main attractions without feeling rushed, while still having enough time to explore and take photos. I especially appreciated how flexible and accommodating the team was whenever we had questions or needed a little extra time at a certain location. The transportation was comfortable, the schedule was managed efficiently, and overall the whole day felt smooth and stress-free. It was a great way to experience Kathmandu in a short amount of time, and I felt that the service was well worth the price. I would definitely recommend this tour company to anyone visiting Kathmandu, especially if you want a reliable, comfortable, and enjoyable day tour with a friendly and professional team. I would be very happy to use their service again in the future!

The joy of walking on two feet, the scenery is dumb! A visit to the Himalayas in early May at 4 Willmal was one of the long-awaited bucket lists. He took steps hoping that both health and luck could walk along. Although it rained frequently in early May due to the unpleasant weather, the cluster that could be seen throughout the walk was a great consolation for the tired footsteps of the dandelions. More than 10 meters tall are called the national trees of Nepal. For the first time in the Himalayas, the large and colourful flower feathers of the Himalayas seem to emerge in a dream. Trekking here seems to be more difficult as you become aware of your destination. With a sense of putting everything down, I had to step one step and move forward. Like the careless jacks here. Finally arrived at the Base Camp Lodge and fell asleep in the expectation of tomorrow's Everest panorama. At 3 o'clock in the morning, we left for approximately two hours to reach the view peak. The sunrise expected was difficult to see in a dark shade, but the magnificent and breathtaking Mount Everest mountain ranges showed a wind-like look. After completing the base camp trip with a cut 'Chalkock' photographed on the background, we travelled through Shambeshi, the area of Solunabou, and visited the nearby Tibetan Buddhist temple 'Keten Kuling' to see the sherpa people and the village that lived as a group around it. The purity and integrity of these mountainous people may come from a life of conformity to nature and religion. He helped us complete this journey safely. Mr. Thank you very much to Bhanu and Porter. Next I think to visit another course. Recommended!!

In any situation, you are a superb guide and representative. From March 31 to April 28, I visited Bangfujimalaja with my husband. Thank you very much to Mr. Banuza and Mr. Porter who have been together for a long time. I was a little embarrassed by the agency's representative being guided directly, but the young 28-year-old representative saw how he dealt with the show passionately and calmly. I was able to finish Langtang Belly safely thanks to you and Porter. In particular, he has lived in Korea for six years and is well-known in Korean and has a very good understanding of Korean culture and Korean orientation. Thank you for always caring and caring about our elderly couple. If you go back to Nepal, you will be with Mr. Banu. I hope the air season flourishes every day. Thank you. Thank you.
