Day 1: Kathmandu to Nagarkot and Channgunarayan explore

Early in the morning, pick you up from your hotel and 1-1.5 hrs drive to Nagarkot by private vehicle, taking scenic drive through Bhaktapur and the hills. Reach the Nagarkot hilltop in time to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the snow-capped mountain, including Mount Everest, langtang, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal etc. After that, enjoy warm breakfast in local tea house or restaurant and we continue our journey towards Changunarayan temple via a gentle downhill around 11 to 12 KM . Along the way, pass through small settlement of tamang and newar communities, farmland and pine forest. Upon reaching Changunarayan temple, explore the temple, enjoy delicious lunch at a nearby tea house in the area .Then drive back to Kathmandu.

Cancellation Policy for Nagarkot to Changunarayan Hike

At Epic Trek Nepal, we understand the changes in plan unexpectedly. That is why we designed it to be fair and clear.

Cancellation Notice:

By any reason, if you need to cancel tour trek then please inform us at least 15 days before your scheduled Hike start date.

Administrative Fee:

When you cancel the trek, 25% fee will be reduced from the total cost of trek as administrative charge. This fee covers the planning and organizational cost we’ve already done for your trip.

Non-Refundable Period:

If the cancellation happen less than 7 days before the trek start date, no refund will be provided but by looking at the situation and if we feel the reason of cancelation is valid then the amount will be refunded after deducting 70% of total trek amount. In such time we have already submitted the cost and reserved the spots for you.

Documentation Support:

We know insurance claim can be important. In-case if you cancel, we would gladly provide the necessary document such as receipts to help with your insurance process.

Unused Accommodation:

Please note that if your trek is cancel due to personal reasons, illness or bad weather, refunds for unused accommodation are not available.

It is a short one day hike so, no permits is required like (TIMS or national park permits).

However you will need small entrance fee as there are some specific location along the hike:

Nagarkot view point fee: NPR 200–300 (≈ $2–3 USD) per person.
Changunarayan Temple fee: NPR 100–200 (≈ $1–2 USD) per person.

We did want a jeepsafari and a jungle walk in Chitwan. We booked it by Epic Track Nepal: what a great service: the arranged evening for us, we had to go by place, because of the landslides, that was proceed by them.
